"Traverso" train RABe 526 # 1../2.. of the Südostbahn (SOB), running as train IR 2018 "Voralpen Express" from St.Gallen via Wattwil-Rapperswil-Arth Goldau to Lucerne, is crossing the highest railway bridge of Switzerland, the 99 meter high and 365 meter long Sitter viaduct, between St. Gallen Haggen and Gübsensee. The impressive viaduct with a main span of 120 meter was built between 1908 and 1910 for the Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn (BT). In the background, the "FVD" train RABDe 502/RABe 502 of the SBB as IC 718 from St.Gallen to Geneva is crossing the 63 meter high and 209 meter long SBB viaduct over the Sitter.
