Museum Car Move. On Friday, January 13, 2023, Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway/New York Transit Museum R-1 103 (ACF, 1930-1931) led an unusual 9 car train on a non-revenue equipment move/qualification run. This car was chosen for preservation because of its modified interior that added Axiflow fans. The train is seen turning off of Liberty Avenue in Brooklyn, New York and heading into the tunnel that will take it to the next stop at Grant Avenue with a revenue train of Pullman-Standard built R-46s on the A passing in the background. On April 29, 1956, this viaduct connecting the IND Fulton Street Line and the former BMT Fulton Street Line was opened when the A Line was extended to Lefferts Boulevard. These cars are used several times throughout the year on Transit Museum excursions that are open to the public.
