US Sugar recently connected portions of their private rail network to form a new main line from Bryant to the mill in Clewiston to avoid using South Central Florida Express through Belle Glade. Another new addition is the Helm Leasing SD40R, shown here rounding the curve south of Rogers Road near the Keela diamond. Not until I got home to edit the photo did I realize that Elvis the alligator was making a cameo on the canal bank.
