Columbia Basin Railroad’s Connell turn climbs toward Frischknecht, Washington, after interchanging trains with the BNSF at Connell on September 28, 2021. It’s neat to see a machine built over 50 years ago still working hard, like CBRW No. 171, still carrying its old Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range road number since being built by EMD in April 1959.
