Just A Little Snow. A pair of "other than the usual" trains passed through the lower end of the MTA Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line on the morning of Tuesday, January 31, 2023. One was Amtrak 63 (Maple Leaf), returning with 50th Anniversary unit AMTK 100 leading, and it even managed to appear during the very slight bit of snow that has fallen on this area this year. The Midnight Blue color would be even better accented by a few more inches, but we'll take what we can get.
This 500-plus mile day run connects the largest city in the United States with the largest city in Canada. Its route takes it through the Hudson and Mohawk River valleys and across Niagara Gorge.
