On the last day of my first tine ever in Chicago (July 16, 1984) my plan was to go to Marshall Field to see if I could talk to the rug and carpet buyer (the business I was in at the time). Failing at that, I had a little bit of time before I had to go the airport, so I decided I'd ride the loop a couple stations and maybe get one of those cool looking old green and cream trains. This image is one of just a handfull I shot, a string of St. Louis Car 6000 series el cars in green and cream at Sate and Lake Station.
