Remarks & Notes
Not all DL&W switcher motive power was in the 600 to 1200hp range. In the fall of 1948, three 380hp 44-tonners were assembled at GE's Erie plant, for light duty switching operations on the Lackawanna Railroad. Number 52 sat beside the Hoboken enginehouse in March 1961 on the weekend layover. Photo by Stephen Bogen, from my collection.
