"Capricorn" ABe 4/16 # 3111 "Piz Ela" of the Rhaetian Railway (first of the series of # 3111 to # 3166) is street running along the Sand road in Chur, between the service stations Chur Sand and Untersax, on the Arosa line as test train 9443, probably for adhesion tests. The 25,6 kilometer long Arosa line of the Rhaetian Railway was opened in 1914 by the Chur-Arosa Railway electrified with 2400 V DC and grades up to 6.0 %. In 1942 taken over by the Rhaetian Railway and in 1997 changed to 11000 V AC 16,7 Hz like the main network. Through the town of Chur, capital of Grisons, the Arosa line is street running for about 2,5 kilometers!
