Remarks & Notes

A northbound Soo Line transfer freight passes under Ogden Avenue overpass at La Grange, Illinois, on the afternoon of February 7, 1987. Soo EMD SW1500 No. 1400 is former Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern No. 36, and that bright red Santa Fe 86-foot auto parts boxcars sure dwarfs the locomotive!
