Remarks & Notes
A loaded syrup train out of Rock Island, IL, rolls easy thru Fort Madison and along the Mississippi River. The train has just crossed into Iowa and will change subdivision here in a mile from the Chilli to the Marceline. With a Galesburg Crew onboard, this train will not stop here at Fort Mad to change crews. Crew did ask what the plan was for them as they were not going to make KC, and of course there was none in place yet! Funny how the 2 units are turned around...the leader was an original ATSF unit that is now rebuilt and painted into BNSF, and the original BNSF unit is still in merger ATSF paint.
