| The Wabash had a mainline that ran to Des Moines from Moberly at one time. The NS abandoned this trackage back in 1993. Today the Iowa Sothern operates about 25 miles of this trackage between Moulton and Albia on their mainline between Centerville and Albia. They main customers on the line are Wabtec Locomotive Repair near Albia and the CP interchange and customers near Moravia. Here the job shoves cars into Moravia from the CP to park for the weekend. They pass this awesome ex-Wabash restored depot in Moravia. |
