Remarks & Notes
The DP Power on an empty Fruitland coal train slams thru the west end of Cotter minutes from sunset. Cool to see old ex-Rock Island signals, with a pot signal, still in service here. The train is 55 miles from being returned to the BNSF at Ottumwa for another trip to the Powder River. CP handles the coal trains from the BNSF between Ottumwa and Fruitland. The trains run in an unusual setup of 2x2x2, due to the heavy grade to get out of Ottumwa on the loaded side.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
