Helpers on the rear of the "LM" going up the grade to Muir. MRL has always been a huge draw, dotted with more than numerous photographers over the past year, documenting the famous blue paint....and that will likely surge as the weather improves and BNSF begins to absorb it, but during this bitter week of blinding snow storms which also serves as MRL's final independent winter timeframe originally estimated to end on April 7, these were the only others I saw. About the same time as this shot was taken, a train out on the 4th Subdivision suffered a well-publicized derailment that would change the course of the day.
