A whopping total of ten MRL Aces are represented here....six up front, four on the rear. Two unexpected events brought this together. The LM lost their lead motor after leaving Livingston and climbing over Muir, requiring them to tie up in Townsend and run that motor light to Helena. Later, a helper set ran back down to Townsend to pick up the train, which had the trailing motor attached still. They brought the train back to Helena where the ailing motor had been repaired and added back to the consist, which kept the Helena-based helpers for the trip to Missoula, not only to insure it got there, but to place a helper set in Missoula to push trains over the 10th Sub while a derailment cleanup blocked the preferred (and helper-free) 4th Sub. Evidently, this hasn't happened for 10 years or more. All of this resulted in the prized "climbing out of Helena" shot. With 100% MRL power.
