West Through Westport. On February 26, 2023. Webb Rail's former Union Pacific Railroad Budd built Pullman 10-6 "Pacific Union" (WEBX 800640) and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) held the markers on Amtrak Train 57 (Vermonter) on the trip to Washington DC, seen passing over the Saugatuck River in Westport, Connecticut at sunset. The architecture of the former New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Bridge is still very much in evidence on the bridge that is today traveled by MTA Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak trains.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
