Chop-top Center Cab.
Former Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrorail 44-ton locomotive L002 is seen at East Coast Railroad Services in New Windsor, NY. The now unnumbered locomotive was built by GE in 1953 as USAF 1238, was purchased by Metrorail and rebuilt in 1974 lowering the cab roof (among other improvements), and was sold to its current owners in 2022.
Per the auction listing, the missing coupler on the visible end was removed so that the locomotive would fit on a lowboy trailer.
