Remarks & Notes |
CNW 872 waits for a semaphore so it can depart Saint Francis, WI. in November of 1986. The 3 light engines will then head to Oak Creek to pick up an empty coal train. The engines are sitting on what was once CNW's multi-track Old Line passenger main that went straight under the signal bridge. In this image the line connects with the freight by-pass to Butler, just visible to the right. The engines will then veer left to go on the Old Line while most freights will stay to the right on the New Line. Taken from the steps of the since demolished Saint Francis Tower. The Lake Park Freeway dominates this view looking south today. |
