The stars aligned for an unusual rolling meet of CSX M433-22 with CSXT 8833 leading (nee-CR 6442, SD40-2, 9/1978) and NYSW 3024 (ex-NS 3553, née-BN 7200, 10/1979) at Mount Vernon Avenue in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey on Sunday, April 23, 2023. In the almost two decades that EMD produced this model, just under 4,000 units were produced. NYSW 3024 was recently repainted into the railroad's "silver and maroon" paint, one of the schemes that preceded the now signature "yellow and black".
