As the warm spring evening fades to dusk, BNSF coal set C705 rolls northbound on the Mississippi Export Railroad. The 135-car coal set had spent the day unloading at the Victor J. Daniel power plant in Helena, MS and now makes the return trip back to Evanston, and eventually back to the Powder River Basin. The train is powered by a BNSF SD70ACe, SD70MAC, BCOL C44-9WL 4641 (wearing the CN scheme) and an H2 AC44 on the rear, making for nice assortment of power. We frame them just north of Agricola, MS, as they close in on their last few miles to Evanston.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
