First One South. On the first southbound trip of the day from Hadley to Corinth, the train crosses Rockwell Street in Hadley, New York with Alco 5 leading. For the first time since the summer of 2018, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, a revenue passenger train headed over the Sacandaga River from Corinth to Hadley, New York on the former Delaware & Hudson Railroad Adirondack Branch. The Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway began operating between Corinth and Greenfield in 2022, and offers a variety of passenger experiences throughout the year. As part of the Hadley-Luzerne Maple Festival activities, the railroad was permitted to run this train for one day only, and all heads turned when the three round trips passed through the area. Alco S-1 #5 and S-2 3021 bracketed the consist as spirits were high in spite of the rainy weather.
