North Creek Local. On June 28, 2014, Saratoga & North Creek Railway (SNC/SLRG) 8524 (née-LMX 8524, B39-8E, 11/1987) was leading a short early season train from Saratoga Springs, New York to North Creek, New York when it was seen approaching Bridge Street/Route 28N near the Hudson River in North Creek, New York on June 28, 2014. The Adirondack Railway began operations on this line in 1871, and it was acquired by the Delaware & Hudson Railroad in 1889 and closed in 1989. After a period of operation by the Upper Hudson Rail Road, the SNC operated intermittently from 2011 until the last revenue passenger trains in this area in 2018. In season, there are rail bike trips with Revolution Rail on this section of the line. On April 29, 2023, Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway, which has been operating south toward Greenfield since 2022, sent a revenue train north of Corinth, for the first time going to Hadley, New York (MP 59.4), about 35 miles from North Creek (MP 94.7). The locomotive has since moved on to the Huntsville and Madison County Railroad Authority in Alabama.
