Happy 40th MTA Metro-North Railroad! On Monday, May 15, 2023, MNCW 208 (P32AC-DM) was released from railroad’s North White Plains shop in a commemorative “beachball” paint scheme heritage wrap in honor of its 40th anniversary. This paint scheme was used on the FL9s as well as still being present on some west of Hudson equipment. We are told there will be more, stay tuned! The locomotive is seen being by towed by GP35r 104 through the Bronxville, New York Harlem Line station on the way to Croton Harmon for final adjustments before reentering service.
