A set of SEPTA Silverliner V's captured against the backdrop of the Philadelphia skyline at dusk.
SEPTA (the SouthEast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) received a total of 120 of these cars which were made by Hyundai Rotem in South Korea though assembled in United States (South Philadelphia). Four of the cars are owned by the state of Delaware. An additional 66 were later acquired in 2010 by RTD; Denver's Regional Transportation District. Unlike the Denver sets which are limited to 79 mph, SEPTA's run at up to 110 mph.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
