As the sun sinks below the horizon, Eastbound loaded coal train NS 80W slowly drags past the coal mine in Ennis West Virginia. NS 4153 leads the charge, with newly painted NS 8099 trailing second. Due to the humidity, fog rises out of the mountains, and due to the Canadian Wildfires, the horizon is very hazy, together they give off an overall erie image, under the already breath-taking mountains of the Appalachian.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
