Colorful Chicago Freight. On the afternoon of October 3, 2022, BNSF Railway 7557 (ES44DC), Norfolk Southern 8184 (ES44AC), and Union Pacific Railroad 5279 (ES44AC) bring a mixed manifest train through CP Lumber towards West 18th Street in Chciago, Illinois. These locomotives represent half of the Class I Freight Railroads in the United States, all of which now have operations in Chicago. To the left, the Willis (formerly Sears Tower) rises above the skyline, while to the right the Strauss Trunnion bascule bridges of the St. Charles Air Line stand in the open position.
