Remarks & Notes
Arnines at Avenue X. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R1 "Arnine" car no. 381 (ACF, 1930-1931) is the lead motor on a NY Transit Museum nostalgia run seen pulling out of Coney Island Yard at Avenue X on the IND Culver Line. The ride was in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Brookyln-Manhattan Transit Corporation, or BMT, on June 15, 1923. The museum brought out their BMT AB Standard cars - visible at the back of the train - for free rides between 18th Ave and Kings Hwy Stations on the Culver Line, which was originally a BMT line.
