A southbound Amtrak Regional Express is captured here just shy of the current Claymont, DE, station stop which is located on a elevated sweeping curve. To the left, is the new Claymont Regional Transportation Center, a 71 million dollar station (glorified parking garage) that will replace the current station this Fall. It is located at the former site of Evraz Claymont Steel, which is being redeveloped into a mixed-use office, commercial, and light industrial development, and will have connections to area roads, public transportation, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
