For the second day in a row, the BNSF train from Barstow to San Diego passed through the city of Orange at about 10:30 in the morning, making for a daylight run along the beach. And also for the second day in a row, the train had interesting power – two Canadian Pacific units the first day, and two GP50s in the consist on the second day.
Passing through Chapman University is BNSF train H-BARSDG1-22A, with ES44C4s 8047 and 8192, ET44C4 3790 and GP60s 183 and 179 up front, and ES44AC 5800 and Dash 9-44CW 4458 as the rear Distributed Power Units (for a total of 25,800 horsepower), pulling 77 loaded car and 9 empties.
