CN's ferry Huron (of Sarnia) crosses the Detroit River with another load of cars, including what looks to be a Massey Fergusen combine, in August of 1964. Numerous rail ferries crossed the river at this time. The Huron was built for the GT in 1875, eventually being absorbed by the CN in later years. The ferry was still in use by the Detroit-Windsor Barge Line when it sank at its' dock in Windsor in December of 1981. The ferry was refloated and towed across the river to a slip in River Rouge where it sank again. It remains there today, with only the stacks still visible above the water.
