Remarks & Notes
The setting sun casts a shadow on the old Santa Fe Railroad depot in Gorieta, New Mexico, which was built as a wood frame and stucco building in 1927. It no longer serves rail traffic but has been converted into a post office. Twice a day the Southwest Chief passes this beautiful building, which no doubt would love to again serve travelers from an Amtrak passenger train.
