Remarks & Notes
Train 606 from Jamaica to Port Jefferson leaving St. James Station. Approaching Lake Avenue RR Crossing. St. James Station building was completed in October 1873. It’s the oldest surviving station building on the LIRR.The station was tongue and groove on the interior with a large pot bellied stove in the middle of the station to keep passengers warm. It still has a pot bellied in the middle of the waiting room.
