Mid-Street Runner. On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, NJ Transit GP40PH-2 4109 (née CNJ 3677, EMD, 10/1968) led Pascack Valley Line train 1631 as it departed the Essex Street Station in Hackensack New Jersey. The right of way here runs in between the directional lanes of the aptly name Railroad Avenue. NJTR 4109 was repainted into its as delivered 1968 paint scheme by NJT nearly four years ago in October, 2019, and can be seen in service on any of NJT’s diesel routes.
