On the occasion of the opening of a photo exhibition by Istoria, as well as the presentation of the new book "Ferrovia del Bernina - Una linea, molte prospettive" by Stephan Kenneweg-Kamp and Istoria in Poschiavo, a parade of the 4 generations of railcars of the Bernina Railway and the Rhaetian Railway respectively was made. From right to left: ABe 4/4 (railcar I) # 30 with year of construction 1911 (and behind ABe 4/4 # 34 of 1908), ABe 4/4 (railcar II) # 46 "Goldliner" (built 1965), ABe 4/4 (railcar III) # 54 (built 1990) and "Allegra" ABe 8/12 # 3507 (built 2010). On the left the San Pietro chappel. The vehicles stand on the tracks in front of the new infrastructure base.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
