| Rock Sheds White Canyon, what might be the most treacherous section of railroad in North America. Rock Sheds protect the CN railroad from this crumbling mountain. All night long there is a constant sound of rolling and sliding rock. It makes one think how long it will be before a a massive slide occurs here...It has made it 100 years, will it make it another 100? or will it simply continue to make smaller more manageable slides? I suppose all bets are on.... The CPKC and CN run directional here using each others track. The train is a westbound CPKC grain load for Vancouver. |
