"If only..." That's a term you can often apply to this railroad pretty often. The Cimarron Valley Railroad generated a lot of interest when these two ex CSX C40-8s were repainted in this Santa Fe-inspired scheme. And that's as far as it went. If only they had repainted the whole fleet. If only these two ran as a pair more often. I'm sure fans can come up with several more. At any rate, I was stunned to roll up on this pair on a beautiful September morning, making the journey over from Denver, hoping to see even just one, and maybe get a roster shot. Sometimes you just get lucky.
