Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific GE ES44AC No. 7444 and older AC4400CW No. 6399 power an eastbound track inspection train east out of Radium, Colorado, and are about to check out the rails through Little Gore Canyon. Doing the detection work is UP Track Inspection (track geometry) Car EC-4 separated from the locomotives with a Soo Line flatcar. Originally a self-propelled car, UP EC-4 was built in 1999 in Austria by Franz Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen-Industrieges, and is now unable to move on its own without external propulsion like a locomotive or two.
