Metro-North Railroad/ CTDOT's New Haven mainline may not feature any crossings at grade, but incompetent drivers still find ways to disrupt rail service. The most common disruption of them all, is the bridge strike. During the last hour of Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, wrecker crews work to remove a wedged charter bus from under the North Benson Road overpass in Fairfield, Connecticut as Metro-North train 6571 passes above at restricted speed. Maybe the height signs weren't enough.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
