| Welcome to the Rockaways!
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R32A no. 3888 (Budd, 1964) is the lead motor on an 8-car NY Transit Museum special excursion operating as part of the museum's "To the Rockaways by Rail" nostalgia ride. The train is seen crossing Cross Bay Pkwy and Beach 95th St, the former being one of two arteries bringing people *across the bay* to the Rockaways from "mainland" Queens, and thus there is a nice mural welcoming visitors to the peninsula! |
