Emerging from a cluster of Amtrak Pacific Surfliners and Metrolink commuter trains, and beneath the gaze of Los Angeles' distinctive City Hall, Amtrak train 14, the northbound Coast Starlight, departs Los Angeles Union Station on Track 10 as it begins its two-day journey to Seattle WA. Amtrak ALC-42 319 (built by Siemens AG in June 2022) is teamed with 22-year-old P42DC 206 to get this eight-car train on its way right on time. (Los Angeles, California – August 16, 2023)
