A Sea Of GEs. On May 11, 2019, GECX 6002 (ex-UP 7511, AC6000CW) sits at the front of a large group of General Electric locomotive, mostly C40-8W and C40-9W trade-in units from US Class I railroads. The unit was used as power for testing locomotives by GE and was inherited by Wabtec when then they purchased this operation. On March 17, 2022, it was donated and delivered to the Lake Shore Railway Museum in North East, Pennsylvania, making it the first General Electric AC traction wide cab engine to be preserved on a museum roster. The locomotive is on display and can be seen when the museum is open for visitors.
