CSX L810 is southbound on the Cartersville Subdivision with the now infamous CSXT 6914 at the North End of Fish several miles south of Rockmart, Georgia. The GRS signals that once guarded Fish were removed in the early 90's although they had lost their purpose roughly ten years earlier. This former SAL mainline from Birmingham, Alabama to Atlanta was once CTC controlled until 1983's reduction of traffic which would eventually see the remaining through volumes routed via LaGrange, Georgia. After the route was abandoned and ripped up between Irondale, Alabama, and Cedartown, Georgia several years later, the remainder fell into DTC Traffic Control. Today the only section of the original mainline that remains is from the End of Track at Cedartown to the Wye at Rockmart where SAL's Cartersville Branch veered off. Both sections combined today make up CSXT's Cartersville Subdivision and are dispatched as EC1 Territory.
