With two cars gathered from the Harrison Elevator at the end of the 9.5-mile Harrison branch, Montana Rail Link’s 844 local trundles down the Fifth Subdivision main line at Sappington, Montana, on June 27, 2023. Since six-axle locomotives are not generally allowed on the Harrison line, MRL EMD SD40-2XR No. 265 was left on the siding at Sappington while GP35 No. 404 worked the branch. The local will now pick up the 265 and head for home at Logan.
