A New Lease On Life. The Woodstown Central Railroad announced on Friday, September 15, 2023, that it has secured the lease of former Reading FP7 902 (EMD, 5/1950) from the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society/Reading Railroad Heritage Museum and the purchase of FP7 903 (EMD, 5/1950) from the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (Philly NRHS). The units are presently located at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where they have been parked for many years but will be moved to the SMS Lines Shop in Pureland, New Jersey for repairs prior to entering excursion service. The units are pictured at Steamtown, next to former Reading T-1 2124, on September 5, 2015.
