| A Susquehanna local crosses Midland Ave in Saddle Brook, NJ on the approach to Passaic Junction Yard. At this time, box car traffic was still quite good along this portion of the line. Marcal Paper in Elmwood Park was still a very active rail customer and there is a good chance this train was returning to PC Yard from there. This view predates the "double stack era" on the Susquehanna. The main has yet to be single-tracked and lowered to allow for double stack cars to clear the NJT Bergen County Line overpass. |
