Hoop It Up! Railroaders remember all too well when orders would be handed up when passing a tower, reenacted at the night shots with newly repainted PRSL/CMSL 2000 at the Tuckahoe Tower.
With the recent repainting and rededication of Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL) GP38 2000 (EMD, 12/1967), the railroad hosted a night shoot on Friday, September 22, 2023 at its Tuckahoe, New Jersey headquarters. The PRSL was jointly owned by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) and the Reading Company. Cape May Seashore Lines (CMSL) is the operator of a portion of former PRSL trackage and honors its heritage by acquiring and maintaining former PRSL equipment. Other New Jersey railroads including PRR and Central Railroad Of New Jersey (CNJ) are also represented in its collection, and the company handles both tourist passenger and freight service.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
