Noses Meet. On the night of September 28, 2018, Cape Cod Central Railroad/Mass Coastal FL9s (left) MC 2026 (ex-CTDX 2011, exx-CR 5038, exxx-PC 5038, née-NH 2038) and (right) MC 2026 (ex-CTDX 2026, exx-CR 5007, exxx-PC 5007, née-NH 2007) were brought out of long term storage in New Haven, Connecticut to be picked up by CSX for the first leg of their journey to their new owner. The pair was put in service not long after arriving at the Mass Coastal facility in Hyannis on various tourist trains. MC 2011 was removed from service last year and saw extensive work including repainting in this New Haven McGinnis tribute paint and is running again.
