After another extremely dreary day in the Northeast, an outbound train to Lake Hopatcong via Montclair State slows for its stop at Newark Broad Street. Interestingly, the train was running in diesel mode when this picture was taken but had switched to electric mode by the time I got off the train in Bloomfield (presumably at Broad Street). The train will be forced to switch back to diesel when it arrives at Montclair State for the remainder of the journey.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
