Swap. On the night of September 29, 2016, MTA Metro-North Railroad GP35r 102 (ex-CR 2271, exx-PC 2271, nee-PRR 2271) was tasked with bringing a pair of Metro-North M7As to New Rochelle, New York for Long Island Railroad to pick up and bring to the Arch Street shops for PTC installation and then took the handoff of seven private cars from Amtrak. The private cars would be our train for the next few days with Webb Rail's former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/slpr "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) holding the markers and deadheading to Grand Central Terminal that night before making a round trip to Poughkeepsie, New York that weekend and then heading to Chicago, Illinois. Right up against the power are Juniata Terminal Company/JTCX "PRR 120" and "Warrior Ridge/1157", which of which will be part of NJ TRANSIT's 40th Anniversary Excursion this weekend.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
