The only 4 kilometers long Oensingen-Balsthal-Bahn (OeBB) celebrated 80 years of electric operation, and let the "Red Arrow" RCe 2/4 # 607 run as scheduled regional train on October 4th in the morning and afternoon (outside the rush hours). After the start of electric operation on October 3, 1943, a "Red Arrow" rented from the SBB ran in the first time, since the two ordered small locomotives Ce 2/2 # 101 and # 102 were not yet delivered. The Red Arrow delivered to SBB in 1938 came to OeBB in 1974 and became the "Blue Arrow" there for the time being, until it was painted red again in 1989. In 2022/2023, the vehicle was overhauled, repainted and restored to the condition of the mid-1950s. The iconic vehicle runs as S 22 26034 from Balsthal to Oensingen.
