Fifteen miles from the border of Idaho, situated along the Clark Fork River, lies the small village of Noxon, Montana. Montana Rail Link's former Northern Pacific mainline passes through here and crosses the Clark Fork on a bridge near a location called Triangle Pond. A westbound BNSF 'Q' train crosses the bridge on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The crew of this train had spent the majority of the morning and early afternoon hours assisting another train in setting out a car with a broken knuckle. After going on the law and tying down, they are ferrying the crew of that train as well as another crew back to Sandpoint.
